Emerald is located in Central Queensland with a population base of about 35,000 including surrounding townships. The town is one hour by flight from Brisbane and is well serviced by Qantas & Virgin Airways. It is three hours drive east to Rockhampton and four hours drive west to Longreach
About the Practice:
Priority Health Group opened its doors in January 2016 with a vision to provide Quality care in a Rural family practice setting. We have grown to over 21,000 patients since opening and continue to grow. We service patients from a wide geographic area and demographic including Longreach, Rolleston, Moranbah, Springsure, Alpha, Blackwater, Clermont, Blackall, Barcaldine, Capella, and the Gem Fields. Our patients value the care we provide because we live by the principles we advertise.
Our practice is a high-end General Practice with a strong focus on quality and patient cantered care. This practice operates a high nursing staff to doctor ratio to ensure they maintain attention to detail and deliver exceptional care. The practice is additionally supported by admin staff, with full time IT support.
We are seeking GP's that hold AHPRA registration. Accommodation, flight and car allowance negotiable depending on commitment to the practice and commitment to continual professional development.
This practice is a modern, newly refurbished, fully computerised practice with online booking facility. The facility comprises of multiple procedure rooms, consulting rooms, nursing bay, reception and waiting room in both location
No afterhours work is required.
About the role:
* Provide good clinical and medical care
* Providing skilled health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to patients
* Ordering diagnostic tests as needed, checking and informing patients of results as per clinics procedure.
* Referring patients appropriately to other providers if their needs exceed the range of care you are able to provide
* Consulting and collaborating with colleagues to provide optimal care
* Documenting all care provided and education/information given to patients within their health record, as per clinics procedure
* Maintaining professional knowledge and standards through continuing medical education and personal professional development.
* Having a working knowledge of legislation and standards relating to General Practice.
* Maintaining a current resuscitation certificate.
* Providing services courteously and respectfully, with regard to the cultural beliefs and needs of patients
* Responding openly and following up complaints or feedback
* Practicing medicine in a way that reflects the organisation's values and mission.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and other members of the health care team
* Support the values of the organisation.
Eligibility Criteria
* MBBS
* GP Must Hold Registration with AHPRA and eligibility to obtain a provider number as a General Practitioner in Australia
* Australian work rights
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $77,681.00 – $150,000.00 per year
