Job Description - Senior Consultant or Associate - Social and Sustainability Advisory (PER05B5) Management Level: Individual Contributor We are looking for a Senior Consultant or Associate Consultant to join our Perth‑based Sustainability Advisory team.

As our APAC Sustainability Advisory business continues to grow, this role offers the opportunity to take on technical leadership across high value projects, support the development of our sustainability advisory services, and work closely with senior stakeholders across the ANZ region.

You will join a dynamic team working at the intersection of sustainability, strategy, and major capital projects across the energy, chemicals, resources, and infrastructure sectors. Our work supports clients to manage ESG risks and opportunities, embedding sustainability into strategic decision making, project delivery, and operations.

What you will do As a Senior or Associate level Consultant, you will be a key contributor within the ANZ Sustainability Advisory team. Your focus will be on technical delivery, technical guidance, building a pipeline of repeat work and client impact. You will be a technical expert in sustainability and/or climate change.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering high quality, technically robust sustainability advisory services across a range of projects and sectors

Acting as a technical lead or subject matter expert on sustainability assessments and advisory engagements

Using your existing connections and business development skills to drive growth, including identifying, pursuing, bidding and delivering projects in Queensland and across the wider APAC region

Conducting and technically overseeing assessments in areas such as Natural capital, Lifecycle assessment, Industrial ecology and circularity, GHG calculation and reporting (including Scope 3), Climate change risk assessments, Sustainability in design, including integrating sustainability into engineering, Sustainability and ESG reporting

Developing and applying climate change, industrial circularity, decarbonisation and sustainability frameworks, roadmaps and mitigation strategies

Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed scope, budget, schedule and quality in line with internal governance requirements and driving project delivery excellence

Supporting and advising clients on embedding sustainability into strategy, planning, project delivery and operations

Building strong, trusted client relationships through high quality delivery and sound technical judgement

Collaborating effectively with colleagues across disciplines and geographies within Worley Consulting

Mentoring team members through technical guidance, knowledge sharing and on the job support

Communicating complex sustainability issues clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholder audiences

Challenging conventional thinking internally and with clients to drive more sustainable outcomes

What you will have To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Professional experience and skills

Extensive experience in sustainability advisory or related technical fields such as natural capital, lifecycle assessment, ESG, climate risk, GHD assessment including Scope 3, ideally within a consulting environment

Strong technical expertise in sustainability methodologies, tools and frameworks

Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to complex, multidisciplinary advisory projects

A track record of delivering high quality client outcomes, with strong attention to detail in analysis, reports and presentations

Experience supporting proposal development and business development activities, including technical inputs and client engagement

Confidence working directly with clients and senior stakeholders

Familiarity with key national and international sustainability standards and frameworks, including NGER, The Safeguard Mechanism, and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, IFC/ICMM, and TCFD/climate-related disclosure

Accredited or demonstrated experience with IS Rating Scheme, Envision, LEED, Green Star or equivalent certification systems

Understanding of lifecycle assessment, decarbonisation, climate risk and materiality concepts

Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority

Experience mentoring or supporting junior consultants, preferred

Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, finance or a related field, desirable
