ABOUT BIRDIES
Birdies is a family owned and operated manufacturing business which was first established in 2007. Birdies primarily manufactures corrugated raised garden beds for domestic and export sales. We are seeking a reliable and honest Accounts and Administrative Assistant to support our full-time Bookkeeper with day-to-day financial and administrative tasks.
THE ROLE
Position title: Accounts and Administrative Assistant - Full time
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with bank reconciliations
* General bookkeeping and data entry
* Accurately entering delivery dockets and similar paperwork
* Supporting the Bookkeeper with accounts administration
* Using Xero accounting software (and Reckon from time to time)
* General office administration duties and data entry
* Answering emails and telephone enquiries
* Assisting customers with product enquiries and outstanding orders
Skills & Experience:
* Proficient in bookkeeping and accounts (5+ years experience)
* Proficient with Xero accounting software (5+ years experience)
* Proficient computer skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
