Overview
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join a growing strategy advisory team in Sydney, supporting major investment, growth and market positioning decisions across the energy transition.
This role focuses on strategic advisory rather than engineering delivery. You will advise investors, developers and infrastructure owners on market entry strategy, commercial due diligence and growth strategy across renewables, storage, transmission and emerging energy technologies.
You will translate market, technical and commercial insights into clear strategic recommendations for executive teams and investment committees.
Responsibilities
* Support delivery of strategy engagements across market entry, growth strategy and investment screening in the energy sector
* Contribute to commercial due diligence on renewable energy, storage and infrastructure investments
* Analyse market attractiveness, revenue outlooks and competitive positioning across power markets
* Build financial and strategic models to support investment cases and business decisions
* Conduct analysis on policy, regulatory and market developments impacting energy investments
* Prepare board level materials and investment committee papers
* Manage discrete workstreams and support junior team members where required
* Contribute to client interactions and support senior stakeholders on engagements
* Support proposal development and business development activities.
Required Experience
* Experience in top-tier strategy consulting or equivalent high-end advisory environment
* Exposure to commercial due diligence, market entry or growth strategy projects
* Experience supporting investment decisions, transaction processes or strategic analysis
* Background in energy, utilities, infrastructure or energy transition sectors
* Strong analytical capability with ability to structure problems and deliver clear insights
* Experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders
Qualifications
* Engineering, Economics, Finance or similar analytical discipline
* MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous
