Supplier Relationship Executive Wine Specialist
This is not a traditional sales role.
This is a commercially driven, strategically positioned role designed to add real value across our wine business, sitting at the intersection of deep wine expertise, disciplined sales execution, and long-term supplier partnership.
We're looking for an accomplished wine professional who understands that great wine businesses are built on insight, credibility, and strong supplier relationships, not just transactions. Someone who can operate as a trusted partner to our sales team, our customers, and our wine suppliers, and elevate how our wine portfolio performs in market.
The Opportunity
This newly created role exists to strengthen and evolve the way our wine portfolio is sourced, positioned, sold, and supported.
As Supplier Relationship Executive Wine Specialist, you will act as a key connector, translating supplier strategy into commercial outcomes, supporting the sales team with expert insight, and ensuring our wine offer remains relevant, competitive, and commercially sound.
You'll bring structure, clarity, and authority to supplier engagement, while helping shape portfolio strategy, pricing, distribution, and long-term growth.
This is a role for someone who understands that successful wine sales are built on preparation, partnership, execution, and trust.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner closely with the sales team to lift wine capability and sales performance
• Provide expert wine insight to support customer engagement, ranging, and distribution decisions
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key on- and off-premise customers
• Lead and manage supplier relationships, including commercial negotiations and portfolio alignment
• Drive supplier discussions across pricing, availability, portfolio mix, and growth strategy
• Support portfolio development initiatives, including new listings, launches, pricing, and promotions
• Translate market data, trends, and insights into actionable commercial opportunities
• Represent the wine portfolio with credibility, confidence, and authority in market
About You
• Proven success in wine sales or a related commercial role
• Strong business acumen with a clear understanding of margin, volume, supplier dynamics, and growth drivers
• Experience working directly with wine suppliers or producers, including negotiation and relationship management
• Advanced wine knowledge (WSET, CMS or equivalent highly regarded)
• Confident communicator with strong influencing skills
• Strategic thinker who can look beyond individual accounts to the bigger picture
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and commercially focused
You're as comfortable discussing financial outcomes, supplier negotiations, and customer strategy as you are vineyard practices, regions, and styles.
Why Join Us?
• A rare opportunity to shape and define a newly created role
• Genuine influence across sales strategy, portfolio development, and supplier partnerships
• A business with scale, ambition, and a strong market reputation
• Competitive remuneration and clear long-term career progression
If you're looking for a role where your wine expertise can be applied in a commercially meaningful way, from supplier negotiation through to execution in market, and where you can partner with a high-performing sales team to deliver real results, we'd love to hear from you.
