**Your new role**
As an APS6 Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will be undertaking assessment, monitoring and analysis to develop and support compliance responses, ensuring that high-risk or complex matters are dealt with expeditiously. Further you will be tasked with;
- Supporting the implementation, operating and monitoring of the reportable incidents handling functions, consistent with the relevant legislation and rules.
- Planning and implementing compliance responses that are risk-based and proportionate to the type of incident(s) and alleged or suspected non-compliance.
- Mentoring and coaching Regulatory Compliance Officers and other staff in identifying non-compliance and providing guidance on the execution of their duties.
- Contributing to the planning and monitoring of work processes of the team.
- Support the education and training function for the organisation's providers in identifying incidents, preventing and effectively responding to abuse and neglect of people with disability, and providing information about the organisation's compliance, reportable incidents and investigations functions.
- Developing productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Contributing and actively participating in an environment to encourage a learning culture where expertise can be appropriately shared.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Australian citizenship
- A security clearance (or ability to gain one)
This will be supported by a strong background in regulatory compliance, a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and an ability to mentor junior members of staff. You will have experience reviewing and assessing complex incidents and ensuring compliance requirements are being met according to legislation. Coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you also have experience preparing sensitive correspondence, reports, briefs and submissions to support compliance action.
