Hands On People is a registered NDIS service provider operating in Northern Territory (NT) and Queensland (QLD). With services available in Darwin, Alice Springs, and Brisbane, the organization is dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and providing high‐quality support. Hands On People focuses on creating opportunities and fostering inclusion to enhance the well-being and independence of its participants.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight & Quality Assurance:

* Conduct regular checks of SIL house operations to ensure high‐quality service delivery.
* Monitor the day‐to‐day functioning of accommodations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and cleanliness.
* Investigate incidents, ensure proper documentation, close the incidents in CRM and report findings promptly.
* Conduct regular inspections or audits to maintain compliance with quality standards and organizational guidelines.

Participant Engagement & Support:

* Engage regularly with participants, their support workers, families, and guardians to refine and develop their goals.
* Build and implement individualized care plans based on input from stakeholders.
* Provide crisis support when required and travel to remote as needed.
* Facilitate participant welfare meetings and ensure service satisfaction.

Compliance & Documentation:

* Ensure all participant reports meet NDIA and NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission standards.
* Maintain accurate case notes, medication records, and incident reports.
* Implement periodic audits of documentation practices and provide constructive feedback.
* Train House Supervisor and admin on documentation accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:

* Actively engage with key stakeholders to strengthen networks and support participants.
* Work with Support Coordinators to develop tools that enhance participant independence.
* Prepare monthly reports on participant progress and accommodation service operations.
* After meeting with the participant monthly, send an email to the Care Coordinator and family about the meeting, including photos if the participant has allowed it.
* Hold special meetings with Disability Support Workers (DSWs) to discuss participants, gather their thoughts and feedback on the care participants receive, and send this feedback to the Care Coordinator and family.

Staff Supervision & Development:

* Provide mentorship, guidance, and supervision to disability support workers and House supervisor.
* Conduct staff meetings to monitor care quality and address operational concerns.
* Identify training needs and organize professional development programs.
* Conduct performance evaluations and support staff growth initiatives.

Coordination & Resource Management:

* Publish the three months Roster to ensure adequate staffing in accommodation services.
* Oversee appointment bookings, communications, family visits, activity plans, and meal planning.
* Ensure the efficient use of resources in compliance with organizational policies.
* Support House Supervisors and admins in resolving operational challenges and making informed decisions.

On-Call & Crisis Management:

* Ensure compliance with the on‐call roster and attend scheduled on‐call meetings.
* Maintain records of on‐call schedules, swaps, meeting minutes, and any changes to rosters.
* Provide emergency support as required to ensure participant well‐being.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices:

* Encourage feedback from House Supervisor and participants to improve service delivery.
* Implement updates to documentation and care procedures based on regulatory changes.
* Promote a collaborative, problem‐solving work environment among staff and stakeholders.

Additional Position Responsibilities

* Regularly audit and review participant services example ROC v/s Roster, Roster V/s Invoices, Overtime payment, staff leaves etc.
* Required to be on‐call for a week on a rotational basis.
* Manage Government contractual requirements under the NDIS guidelines.
* Continuous professional development and training are vital to remain updated on industry standards, hence cultivating a culture of learning and advancement inside our organisation.

Requirements & Qualifications:

* Tertiary qualification in Disability, Diploma, or any relevant experience in a similar sector.
* Knowledge of NDIS regulations, compliance, and quality assurance standards.
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to mentor and support teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
* Ability to handle crisis situations with professionalism and efficiency.
* Strong documentation, reporting, and record‐keeping abilities.
* Willingness to travel within NT and Queensland and provide flexible support when required.
* Current unrestricted driver's license
* Working with Children OCHRE card/Blue Card.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check/Yellow Card

Desired Knowledge/Experience

* Experience in a similar role for a minimum of 3 years.
* Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organisational and time‐management skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to the ongoing stewardship of HOP and service delivery.
* Proficient in the full suite of Office 365.
* Supervision and management of staff.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrated high-level external relations and networking skills
* Demonstrated superior skills in mediation and negotiation, collaboration, and consultation.
* An understanding of the needs and considerations of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse clients and their families
* Demonstrated application and management of EEO, WH&S, and Risk Management policies and practices.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
* A working knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards and the ability to ensure compliance.
