Opportunity Overview
Our programs are designed to support your transition from student to Registered Midwife within a supportive and welcoming environment. The aim is to promote educational opportunities to graduates as you consolidate your theoretical and clinical skills. This is a structured program with a comprehensive orientation, paid professional development days, and debriefing sessions which are supported by a dedicated learning team. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be presented with a certificate of completion.
Commencing in May 2026
Applicants must be registered with the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria Computer Matching Service and have been unsuccessful in matching with a health service.
Role Requirements
* Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
* A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
* The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Pre-requisite Certifications
* Registration as a Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
Application Documents
* Letter of application stating preferred hospital location, areas of clinical interest, preferred rotations, rationale for choice and future career plans.
* Two-page Curriculum vitae, relevant experience and clinical rotations.
* Certified copy of academic transcripts to date (including 'key to results').
* Two recent and certified acute summative clinical appraisals.
* Career intention statement.
* Two clinical referees.
