Where You'll Be Working

This position sits within Aged Care Services across the Lower Mid North Coast (LMNC), with a primary base at Taree Community Health Service. You'll join a friendly and collaborative Aged Care team supported by a highly approachable Service Manager and an experienced Administration Team, enabling you to focus on what matters most - achieving meaningful outcomes for clients.

What You'll Be Doing

In this full-time, community-based role, you'll deliver assessment, intervention, education and advice to older people and their families and carers in their own homes. Working as part of a multidisciplinary Community Aged Care Team, you'll support clients across the Lower Mid North Coast to maintain independence, safety and quality of life.

You'll work closely with a diverse range of professionals including Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Geriatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Dementia Support staff, Single Assessment Assessors and the Transitional Aged Care Program team.

This role also provides opportunities to build advanced professional capability, including involvement in policy and procedure development and supervision of Occupational Therapy students. You'll be supported to grow within a progressive, innovative service that values quality care, collaboration and professional development.

About You

You are a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting older people to live well in their community. You bring sound knowledge and skills in community and aged care and are committed to delivering high‐quality, person‐centred care.

You enjoy working as part of a team, value ongoing learning, and are keen to develop advanced practice skills. You may also be interested in contributing to service improvement initiatives and supporting the development of future Occupational Therapists through student supervision.

Requirements

* Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
* Unrestricted NSW Driver's License required for Community appointments

Additional Information

* * Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part‐time and contract employees will be made on a pro‐rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions. If your contract ends before the agreed completion date, you may be required to repay a portion of the incentive. Please note: the increased RHWIS allowance is approved until 30th June 2026. Commencement after this date may be subject to change, including the allowance amount for which the candidate may be eligible. * An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
* This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
* To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
