Located in North Geelong, Victoria, they are renowned for their commitment to providing top-quality service and repairs. As an Automotive Motor Mechanic, the candidate will play a vital role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. You will uphold the highest standards of workmanship and customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a passion for vehicles, and a dedication to delivering reliable results.
Annual Salary: $73,150 to $80,000 plus superannuation
Responsibilities include: Diagnose mechanical issues in engines and vehicle components.Dismantle and inspect engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts for evaluation.Repair or replace defective components, and reassemble mechanical systems, consulting service manuals as needed.Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with environmental regulations.Reassemble engines and components after completing repairs.Test and adjust mechanical parts post-repair to ensure proper operation.Use diagnostic tools and computer systems to assess vehicle components.Perform vehicle inspections and provide recommendations for repairs.Provide roadside assistance and attend to vehicle breakdowns as required.Maintain accurate service and repair records for all vehicles.Ensure that repair work is conducted safely and in accordance with industry standards.Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.Qualifications: Must hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.Should have more than three (3) years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Motor Mechanic.Only Australian citizens and those with Permanent Resident status may apply.
