Employment Type : Full Time, 35 hours per week

Duration : 12 months fixed term

Remuneration : Level 6 $100K- $107K (based on experience) + 17% Super + Annual Leave Loading

Location : Kensington, Sydney, New South Wales

Why Your Role Matters:

The Data Officer will play a critical role in supporting research studies by ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data through comprehensive quality control and management practices. Key responsibilities include data cleaning, resolving data queries, data mapping, and the design, development, and implementation of electronic databases.

The role is essential to maintaining the continued functionality of these systems to facilitate efficient and reliable research processes. A significant focus of the position is working with REDCap, a secure web platform, to develop and manage data collection tools and provide tailored data solutions for clinical research and study management.

The role reports to the Systems Manager and has no direct reports.

Skills and Experience:

* Graduate biomedical science qualifications, computer or other medical qualifications including Nursing with relevant experience in the conduct of clinical research.
* Demonstrated experience in data management, data cleaning, data query resolution and data mapping.
* Experience with REDCap database design, build, and data management viewed favourably.
* Experience with data and data extraction from general practice sites and tertiary sties from a wide range of databases is highly regarded.
* Proven knowledge of International Council for Harmonisation Good Clinical Research Practice Guidelines (ICH GCP) as governed by the International Council for Harmonisation.
* Excellent Interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload and work independently as well as an effective member of a team.
* Proven initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills, capacity to meet deadlines and ability to pay close attention to detail.
* An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
* Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
