***Our Role**
We are recruiting for a motivated and experienced Leading Hand (Production). This permanent fulltime role would be located in our Traralgon Plant. Reporting to the Production and Maintenance Supervisor the role will be responsible for monitoring and supervising the safe day to day work carried out by operators, ensuring they safely meet production specifications and volume targets.
Key responsibilities include;
- Plan and monitor shift production against agreed product, specification and volume targets.
- Facilitate plant startup and shut down as required.
- Ensure safe and effective operation of kiln, pulverized limestone (LS) and other processing plants.
- Supervise a team of Operators.
- Supervise contractors and visitors.
- Update inventory in the company's database with stock produced every shift.
You have a background and proven ability in leading a team in production and maintenance preferably from a processing plant or similar. You have effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as problem solving, decision making, time management and organizational skills. The role will also require proficient computer skills. Working knowledge of company systems (especially in a manufacturing setting) and procedures and legislative requirements are highly preferable.
