About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our team at the University of Adelaide. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing genetic research in weeds and plants, applying molecular techniques and statistical analysis to understanding the evolution of weed populations under farming systems including herbicide resistance and changes in emergence patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct advanced molecular genetics research to understand the mechanisms of weed population evolution.
* Develop and apply novel statistical methods to analyze large datasets and identify trends in weed populations.
* Collaborate with leading researchers nationally and internationally to publish high-impact research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements:
* Ph.D. in Weed Science, Plant Genetics or related discipline.
* Excellent knowledge and experience in molecular genetics techniques.
* Demonstrated ability to publish research in peer-reviewed journals.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
