Overview
Ganaji Contracting is an Oil & Gas specialist contractor supporting live construction and commissioning projects across WA. We're a small, high-performing team who genuinely enjoy what we do. We take workplace alignment seriously and care about who we bring into the business. We are not corporate pirates chasing KPIs. We focus on quality, structure and getting the right people onto the right projects. We're looking for a structured, capable Recruitment Assistant to support a high-volume internal recruitment function focused predominantly on Electrical trades, with a small portion of Mechanical roles. This is not a pure admin role. This is internal recruitment done properly.
The Role
What You'll Actually Be Doing
* Call candidates as directed and professionally gauge availability and suitability
* Have natural, engaging conversations – easy going when appropriate but serious when required
* Accurately record information and maintain structured recruitment spreadsheets
* Keep candidate data clean, compliant and aligned with Oil & Gas requirements
* Manage high-volume follow-ups
* Assist other team members with general administrative tasks when required
As the recruitment function develops, the role will expand into broader internal recruitment and administration responsibilities.
The Reality of the Role
* Predominantly Electrical recruitment
* Some Mechanical trades
* High volume
* Process driven and compliance focused
* Repetition and workflow management required
If you need constant variation and creative role scope, this won't suit you. If you enjoy structure, organisation and high volume coordination – it absolutely will!
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 1 year recruitment experience (essential)
* Internal recruitment experience preferred (non-agency backgrounds highly regarded)
* Strong spreadsheet capability (non-negotiable)
* Comfortable working within structured Oil & Gas compliance requirements
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident, personable and natural on the phone – not robotic
* Able to work independently without constant supervision
* Genuinely interested in building a career in recruitment
This will not suit someone looking for an entry-level admin position.
The Practical Stuff
* Part-time casual
* Flexible hours
* Must be available at least 2 to 3 days per week
* Hours must be consistent week-to-week
Strong potential to grow into a more comprehensive role as the function expands.
Applicants must be currently based in Perth and hold full Australian working rights.
Ganaji Contracting is proud to be an Indigenous business. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates.
