The role will be a full time role based in our Emerald Qld Workshop with necessary travel to site as required. You will be working in a highly experienced team and will be exposed to a continuous succession of small to large projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and commissioning to operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Generate 3D models and drawings
* Offer solutions and resolve product/technical issues
* Assist in Product Development
* Liaise with Product development team in troubleshooting
* Assist sales team with design and drafting support
* Product Conceptualisation
To be successful in this role you will:
* Be a confident team player, self-motivated and energetic
* Have extensive experience in a similar Mechanical Engineer role
* Have a background in Engineering Design / Drafting
* Possess excellent communication and record keeping skills
* Have the ability to think critically and problem solve
* Possess high level of motivation, initiative and time management skills
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Producing and issuing technical design and detailed drawings
* Developing workable solutions with engineers, designers and workshop staff
* Creating and revising CAD drawings
Requirements
* Proven drafting history on large scale projects
* Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor experience
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills
* Excellent attitude and commitment to safety
* Proven experience drafting to Australian standards, statutory requirements and client specifications
* Engineering design experience in the coal or metals sector will be highly regarded
Candidates must be based in Emerald or willing to relocate. 38hour week, plus additional hours when required. $98,800 salary
