We're seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Field Technician to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining Swoop's network infrastructure by connecting transmission sites to end-user locations and ensuring reliable service through ongoing maintenance.
This is a full-time role based in Nuriootpa, South Australia.
Key Responsibilities
* Consulting in the development and execution of complex site activities, including site builds, site remediation, and complex customer installations.
* Advanced troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment where needed.
* Working at Heights, involving working on roofs, within roof cavities and on telecommunications towers & structures.
* Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions, communicating findings and requirements to relevant stakeholders.
* Making appropriate recommendations and briefing on repairs, diagnostics, and equipment specifications.
* Developing effective relationships with key stakeholders, including cross-functional teams.
* Working effectively with third-party service providers to ensure efficient service delivery and timeline adherence.
* Producing detailed and accurate service reports in the correct company systems.
* Responding within service level agreement expectations for end-to-end service.
* Maintaining relevant technology knowledge in a changing environment.
* Carrying out site safety audits to ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company standards.
About You
Experience working in a Field Technician role in a telecommunications company and/or networks service provider preferred.
High level of customer focus with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work safely and effectively at all times.
Willingness to work at heights on towers and roofs is essential.
Hold a White Card, Driver's License, and National Police Clearance - Desirable
Additional Requirements
* Willingness to travel intrastate.
* Current driver's license and access to a vehicle preferred
* Working at Heights certification - desirable
* Class C Australian Driver's Licence
* Structured Cabling Licence - Desirable
