About the Role
We are looking for a third, fourth or fifth year law student to join a close‐knit CTP team as a Paralegal in our Newcastle office. The team specialises in investigating and defending motor vehicle accident claims for compensation on behalf of insurer clients, which can involve complex liability and medical issues. This role will see you supporting a small team led by female Partners.
In this role, your duties will be varied, including drafting letters of instruction to doctors and experts, preparing briefs, reviewing medical records, and learning time recording and practice management skills.
Qualifications
* Availability to work four days per week
* Prior experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or similar
* Genuine interest in pursuing a career in insurance/personal injury law upon admission
* Practical, down‐to‐earth and commercial approach
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
* Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork
* Excellent attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills
