Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer | Water
Due to continued growth, our client, a well‑known diversified design consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer with experience working on water treatment projects, to join their team based in Melbourne. As a member of the water team you will play a crucial role delivering complex water infrastructure projects throughout Australia.
Responsibilities
* Management and ownership of engineering and design projects.
* Management of project schedules/tasks and use of project management tools.
* Manage and resolve any issues that arise during the project.
* Ensuring all aspects of mechanical design are to specification throughout the project.
* Mentoring younger engineers.
* Ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
* Degree Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* 10+ years’ as a Mechanical Engineer in the Water Sector.
* Design experience with a strong understanding of industry standards.
* Ability to work in engineering and design teams.
* Experience managing projects within scope, budget and schedule.
* Previous experience in an engineering consultancy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Time management and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
* Attention to detail.
* CPEng/RPEQ Mechanical Engineering.
