Job Title: Compliance Risk Manager
This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team as a Compliance Risk Manager. As a key member of our Financial Crime Threat Management unit, you will play a crucial role in helping the bank manage sanctions risks.
You will be responsible for identifying sanctions risks posed by customers through various trigger events such as payment declines, red flag activities, involvement in high-risk industries, and regulatory enforcement alerts.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Conducting sanctions enhanced due diligence (SEDD) on customer transaction activities and business and jurisdictional profiles
* Recommending appropriate controls to ensure that identified sanctions risks remain within appetite
Your day-to-day activities will include ensuring SEDD is conducted in a timely manner and in compliance with our Sanctions Policy and Standard, building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, and reporting on key metrics relating to SEDD.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have financial crime investigation experience, a strong understanding of customer behavior, counterparty risks, and jurisdictional risks, as well as excellent decision-making skills, time management, and planning skills.
We are looking for someone who can build and maintain collaborative relationships and has strong verbal and written communication skills.
As a Compliance Risk Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our first-line business units and other Financial Crime teams to achieve objectives.
