About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Care Recruitment Specialist to join our Griffith-based team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role involves reviewing prospective carers for suitability and maintaining a pool of authorised carers through recruitment, assessment, and training. Your primary focus will be to ensure children and young people in care receive a safe and nurturing environment.
A typical day may include:
* Developing recruitment strategies to attract and engage potential foster carers.
* Coordinating initial and ongoing training and assessment for foster carers, creating development plans and conducting comprehensive assessment reports.
* Maintaining database records and responding to placement referrals.
* Engaging with local communities at events to represent our organisation positively.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Demonstrated experience working with children and young persons, preferably in a related field.
* Sound interpersonal, facilitation, training, and conflict resolution skills.
* Advanced computer literacy, including familiarity with client management systems.
* Previous experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons, an advantage.
