**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join the team in Camden, with flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 5-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Purchasing & Procurement Team, you will be required to monitor, review and evaluate the procurement activities to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and terms of agreement.
**Responsibilities**
- Work collaboratively with the Purchasing & Procurement Coordinator in running procurement systems and procedures to ensure best practice
- Answering enquiries relating to tenders and contracts
- Provide expertise and guidance to staff on purchases of goods and services
- Ensure compliance with Purchasing & Tendering Guidelines
- Review purchase requisitions and ensure compliance with legislative requirements
- Create and receive quotations, utilising company recordkeeping system (EDM)
- Upload tenders and quotations in accordance with Procurement guidelines
- Assist with end to end tender and quotations process
- Review key supplier agreements, identifying areas of new opportunities
- Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities, mitigating risks
- Prepare and deliver purchasing & procurement training for staff
- Generate routine reports to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Participate in negotiations to establish and review current arrangements
- Contribute to the development of contract management plans, contract variations and performance
- Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
- Translate complex procurement information into everyday terminology for a variety of stakeholders
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, facilitating collaboration, cohesion, partnerships, engagement and contribution of ideas
**About you**
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
- Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite and Authority Software
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Solid analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- A strong team and task focus, takes initiative with willingness to assist others

**Requirements**:
- Demonstrated Procurement, Purchasing or Tendering experience
- Thorough understanding of Government Procurement frameworks
- Reliable remote internet access with the ability to work independently from home
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
