Our client is entering a significant growth phase and is seeking a commercially sharp, tenacious Senior Business Development Manager to help accelerate their expansion in Australia.
We are looking for a true hunter - someone who thrives on opening doors, building pipelines, and winning new logos. While you will manage a small portfolio of key accounts, approximately 70% of your focus will be on new business acquisition and driving revenue growth.
You will work closely with Pre-Sales Security Engineers to craft technically sound, commercially compelling solutions that solve real-world customer problems. If you consistently outperform targets and operate best in high-autonomy environments, this role will suit you.
The Opportunity - New Business Growth (Primary Focus)
* Proactively identify and qualify high-value prospects through research, networking, outreach, and social selling
* Build and maintain a strong, predictable pipeline
* Own the full sales cycle - from first conversation to signed contract
* Lead strategic presentations and proposals in partnership with Pre-Sales
* Confidently manage negotiations, overcome objections, and close complex deals
Strategic Execution
* Map the market, identify trends and competitor gaps, and execute a targeted go-to-market strategy
* Maintain accurate CRM hygiene (HubSpot preferred)
* Deliver reliable forecasting and pipeline reporting to leadership
Account & Stakeholder Management
* Manage and grow a select portfolio of existing accounts
* Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
* Act as the commercial bridge between the customer and internal technical teams
* Ensure solutions are aligned before the deal is signed
What You Bring
* 8+ years in B2B Sales, Business Development, or Strategic Account Management
* A background in cyber security or SaaS is advantageous but not essential; what matters most is a genuine curiosity and drive to build deep capability within the cyber security sector.
* Demonstrated track record of exceeding targets (President's Club, Top Performer, or equivalent recognition)
* Strong new business focus - you identify as a hunter

* High emotional intelligence - you navigate complex stakeholder environments with ease
* Self-directed and outcome-focused - you don't need micromanagement
* Strong CRM discipline (HubSpot is highly regarded)
