Sydney Central Hotelmanaged by The Ascott Limited,now seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join as Guest Service Officer. This part-time role will report to the Guest Service Manager and work closely with other departments.
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Delivering exceptional service to late-arriving guests, ensuring efficient check-in and handling of inquiries with professionalism.
* Maintaining guest safety and privacy by conducting regular property checks, verifying room access details, and addressing emergencies promptly.
* Completing nightly financial tasks, including balancing transactions, preparing end-of-day reports, and ensuring accuracy in all records.
* Coordinating with housekeeping and other departments on early departures, VIP requests, and guest needs, supported by clear shift handovers.
* Monitoring the cleanliness and readiness of public areas and facilities, reporting maintenance issues and ensuring high service standards throughout the night.
To be successful in this role you must have:
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional during night-time guest interactions.
* A detail-oriented approach with proven ability to manage financial balancing, cash handling, and accurate administrative reporting.
* Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond effectively to guest complaints, emergencies, or unexpected incidents.
* The capacity to work independently during overnight shifts, while maintaining a high level of responsibility and accountability.
* Knowledge of hotel operations, security protocols, and reservation systems, with a commitment to upholding company policies and guest trust.
