Join Our Team
Two Immediate Openings at our Gladstone Yard
We are hiring for two key roles at our Gladstone yard: an Entry-Level Customer-Facing position and an Experienced Machine Operator.
Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will join a dynamic team responsible for sorting, grading, purchasing, and processing scrap metal using various types of heavy equipment. These are full-time positions with an immediate start available.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of service to all customers
- Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers using a forklift
- Operate heavy machinery, including forklift (excavator, material handler, and other shear operator experience is a plus)
- Accurately grade and sort scrap metal materials
- Maintain a safe and tidy site in compliance with all OH&S; policies and environmental guidelines
Qualifications
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for exceeding expectations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and build new skills through training
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
- For the Experienced Machine Operator: A valid Forklift license and significant operational experience are essential. Excavator, material handler, and other shear operation experience is highly desirable.
