About the role

We’re looking for a Production Team Leader to help steer the smooth day-to-day running of our print operations in Tamworth. You’ll be the go-to person for leading the print room team, maintaining print performance, and ensuring everything from SLAs to Health & Safety is spot-on.

In this role, you’ll be on the shop floor supporting your team, working closely with maintenance to keep everything running smoothly, and stepping up during busy periods to make sure we deliver for our customers. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves leading by example, and is ready to make an impact—this one’s for you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, coach, and support print room operators, ensuring high performance and team engagement.
- Liaise with Shift Managers to prioritise tasks and allocate resources across shifts.
- Manage stock, consumables, and print room materials, ensuring timely reordering.
- Escalate and follow up on any technical issues with the Maintenance Technician – Print.
- Keep the print room safe, clean, and organised at all times.
- Oversee equipment checks (SOS and EOS) and assist in coordinating preventative maintenance.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, handovers, and shift activity.
- Support training, onboarding, and continuous improvement across the team.

About You:

- Experience leading teams in a rapid-paced production or operational setting.
- Solid understanding of digital print equipment (e.g. HP presses, Kerns, finishing equipment).
- Great organisational and communication skills, with a hands-on mindset.
- Confident in managing staffing levels and rotas, especially during peak periods.
- Committed to maintaining high safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with ops, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
- Enthusiastic about driving continuous improvement and team development.

Interview Process:

Stage 1: On-site meeting with the Hiring Manager and one team member (45–60 mins)

Stage 2: On-site meeting with additional team members (45–60 mins)

Please note: Our interview process may vary depending on the specific role, hiring team availability, or other business needs. We aim to keep candidates informed of any changes throughout the process.

What’s in it for you?

We believe in empowering our team to do their best work. Enjoy:

Competitive Pay & Bonus: Including generous pension plans and staff discounts on Moonpig products.

Wellbeing First: Private medical and dental care (UK), mental health support, and on-site food trucks during busy periods.

Feel-Good Extras: Birthday and anniversary celebrations, a friendly team culture, and a supportive warehouse environment where we Think Team every day.

On-Site at Tamworth: Modern, safe, and social workspace with fixed shift patterns to support balance.

Our Values

At Moonpig, our values guide how we show up every day — whether we’re packing orders, fixing a printer jam, or helping a teammate hit a deadline:

Be Brave – We speak up, take initiative, and try new things — even when it’s a bit outside our comfort zone.

Raise the Bar – We take pride in doing great work and always look for ways to improve how we work and deliver.

Keep it Easy – We focus on what really matters, avoid unnecessary complexity, and get things done.

Think Team – We support each other, work together, and know we’re stronger as one team — whether on the warehouse floor or across the business.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity

Moonpig Group is committed to creating a workplace where everyone belongs. We celebrate what makes each of us unique and support our people in ways that work for them. We have employee-led groups and an EDI committee to ensure every voice is heard and every idea has a place. We’re building a culture where everyone feels safe, supported, and free to be their authentic selves.

If you have a preferred name, please use it to apply and share your pronouns if you’re comfortable to do so. If you have any reasonable adjustment requests during the interview process, please let us know on your application or speak to the Recruiter.
