We're hiring a passionate and experienced Pizza/Sous Chef to join our small, tight-knit team at Yellow Matter in Brooklyn Park. We specialise in hand-stretched Italian pizza with a creative twist, alongside a rotating selection of small share plates designed to complement our menu. We're looking for someone who shares our passion for great food and exceptional customer experience, with a love for bold flavours, fresh dough, and a fast-paced kitchen environment.
What we're after:
* Solid experience with dough making, hand-stretching, and cooking multiple pizzas in a pizza oven during busy service.
* Confident running a section and managing a docket rail under pressure.
* Able to lead the kitchen when the head chef is away – managing ordering, prep lists, training cooks and kitchen hands, and keeping things moving.
* A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
* Excited to contribute to monthly specials and have creative input on the menu.
This is a full-time role working Wednesday to Sunday afternoons and nights, with a salary of $70–75k depending on experience.
