In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia is seeking multiple, experienced and reliable chefs to join our hospitality and catering team in Darwin, NT. Ventia is a long-standing partner of the Department of Defence, providing integrated Defence infrastructure and asset management support services. About the Role
You will be responsible for crafting high-quality meals and catering for events. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Supporting the Head Chef with daily mess operations and food service.
* Delivering exceptional customer experiences, in line with contract expectations.
* Supporting the implementation and management of Ventia's Food Safety Program.
* Cleaning, sanitising and maintaining the equipment and premises.
* Supporting stock management initiatives, including stock rotation and restocking.
Qualifications
* An Australian recognised Commercial Cookery qualification (Cert 4) (Required)
* A current Australian Drivers Licence (Required)
* Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
* Previous experience in a similar commercial hospitality role.
* Ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement, the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check.
