About the role
Ming-De International School Toowoomba is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary Teacher to join their team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching English and Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) to secondary students. The successful candidate will work in our expansive campus located in Toowoomba, QLD.
What you'll be doing
1. Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English and HASS subjects to secondary students
2. Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students
3. Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth
4. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of curriculum and resources
5. Participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance your teaching practice
6. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing
What we're looking for
1. Appropriate teaching qualifications and registration to teach in Queensland
2. Substantial experience teaching English and HASS subjects at the secondary level
3. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of instructional methods to engage and support students
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
5. Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for continuous improvement
6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic teaching team
