By rescuing leftover groceries and turning them into hampers, we bring dignity and hope to the homeless, socially isolated, and those in need.
The Role
We're looking for someone reliable, friendly, and community-minded to help us keep this mission alive. You'll be the person behind the wheel and behind the hampers — collecting groceries, packing them into hampers, and handing them out to people who really appreciate it. You'll also help connect with food rescue organisations (such as OzHarvest, SecondBite, or others) to arrange donations and make sure supplies keep flowing.
It's not just about food — it's about being a steady, kind presence for people who may not have anyone else.
A Day in the Life:
* Hop in the Accord Outreach van and collect donated groceries.
* Coordinate with food rescue groups or supermarkets to arrange pick-ups.
* Sort, pack, and prepare food hampers.
* Head to the park and hand them out with a smile.
* Share a kind word and make a real difference in someone's day.
What You'll Need:
* A current driver's licence.
* Reliability and good time management
* A friendly, respectful approach to everyone you meet.
* The ability to work independently — while representing Accord Outreach with heart.
What You'll Get:
15 hours paid work per week
