What's on offer?
An opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join our Fulton Hogan Construction team based in Melbourne. Reporting to a Regional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the regional finances assisting with the financial management of the business in accordance with company policies, legislative requirements and within budgetary constraints.
You will have an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders across the business and proactively identify opportunities to improve and streamline current systems and processes. Your day to day will also include:
* Assisting the project teams with end of month job status reporting, cost actuals, forecasting and other adjustment journals.
* Assist cost code owners with the review of transaction reports and prepare journal entries and accruals as required.
* Assist the Regional Finance team in preparing month end management reports.
* Assist in the collation and submission of the region's annual FBT return.
* Assist with the reporting on, and monitoring of, cash flow.
* Assist with general ad hoc reporting and analysis.
To be successful in this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Commerce/Accounting and be a member or be working towards becoming a member of either the Institute of Chartered Accountants or Certified Practising Accountants. You will have experience working as an Accountant in a civil construction/infrastructure or engineering company, ideally.
The salary banding for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 plus superannuation.
