The Truffle Farm Canberra is looking for a Chef.
Type of employment: Full Time
Hours per week: 38
Salary: $76,600 to $80,000
Required Qualifications:
• Formal higher education qualification of Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma; and
• At least 2 years of directly relevant experience as a Chef
Main Tasks Include:
• Planning menus
• Estimating food and material costs;
• Ordering food and other necessary supplies;
• Monitoring quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, and kitchen and waiting staff
• Demonstrating techniques and advising staff on cooking procedures
• Preparing and cooking food, and supervising kitchen staff
• Monitoring, maintaining, explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations to the staff
• Assist in selection and training of staff
• Train new Kitchen employees.
