Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 - Illawarra Cancer Care Centre role at NSW Health
Temporary Full Time until 19 April 2026 (Job-Share will be considered). Applications close: 23 September 2025. Location: Illawarra Cancer Care Centre, Wollongong Hospital (TWH). Grade: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2. REQ. Salary: $113,243.15 - $116,963.48 per annum + 12% super & salary packaging.

Responsibilities
* Provide high-level person-centred, evidence-based clinical nursing care and lead a practice development philosophy in delivering that care.
* Undertake comprehensive nursing assessments, make referrals, provide expert consultation and educational support to staff, patients and family in the cancer setting.
* Evaluate and supervise the provision of complex nursing care in the oncology area of practice.
* Undertake comprehensive assessment and management of cancer patients within specific tumour groups to support and manage these patient groups.
* Consult and collaborate with tumour stream CNCs to ensure safe management of relevant patient groups, including consideration of care requirements.
* Act as a professional role model and provide client advocacy, cost-benefit practice, and leadership within a multidisciplinary team environment; practice as an autonomous professional when required.
* Provide supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and maintain professional accountability and development in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia's Standards of Practice.
* Promote NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees.
* Utilise the Position Description as a reference for duties and expectations.
Requirements
* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
* Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* Current AHPRA Registration.
* Valid NSW Driver's Licence.
* Post-registration qualification and at least 3 years' experience in the clinical area of the specified post-graduate qualification, or equivalent qualifications/experience deemed appropriate.
