ShoalBayReceivingStation(SBRS),basedinDarwin(NorthernTerritory),isaremoteintelligencefacilitymanagedbyASD.WorkingatsitewillofferauniqueandchallengingworkenvironmentwhereexperiencedpublicsectorprofessionalsworkalongsidehighlyskilledtechnicalexpertstoachieveexcitingoutcomesforASD.
Weareseekinganenergetic,highlyorganisedandtask-orientatedEL1SystemAdministratorLeadtoundertakeabroadrangeofworkinsupportofASD'smission.YouwillplayacriticalroleinsupportingtheinternalinfrastructureofoneofthelargestorganisationswithintheNationalIntelligenceCommunity.
Youwillberequiredtoworkcloselybetweenthetwositesandotherareasacrosstheorganisation.
Duetotheuniquenatureoftheworkconductedatthislocation,staffmaybeprovidedtheopportunitytoobtainarangeofadditionalqualificationsincludingconstructioncards,truckandforkliftlicenses.
ASDisseekinghighlymotivatedandexperiencedEL1LeadSystemsAdministratorswithstrongleadershipqualitiestoleadthetechnicalevolutionandadministrationofASD'smostcriticalcomputersystems,throughtheoversightofthedaytodayoperationsofitscorporateandbespokeICTenvironments.ThisincludesDesktops,ServerInfrastructure,RadioFrequencyandAntennasystems,Satellitecommunications,ApplicationPresentationsServices(WebServices/SharePoint),Messaging(ExchangeandEmailGatewayServices),UnifiedCollaborationTools,Voice,Video,CloudSystemsandothercriticalcomponents.
AsaLeadSystemsAdministratorinASD,youwillbeworkingwithleading-edgetechnologiesacrossdynamicandevolvingenvironments.Youwillworkcollaborativelyalongsideandleadahighlycommittedtechnicalworkfortoprovideoptimalperformance,securityandintegrityofoursystems,aswellastrouble-shootingissues.
Key Duties:
* Provideauthoritativesystemsengineeringadviceandstrategicguidancetoprogramleadership,ensuringtechnicalsolutionsarealignedwithASD'smissionandenterprisearchitecture
* Managestakeholderrelationshipsandescalatedenquiries/casesandissues.
* Producehighlytechnicalsystemsadministratoroutcomes.
* Directtheresolutionofcriticalsystem-levelissuesandmanagecomplextrade-offsbetweencost,schedule,andtechnicalperformance.
* Exerciseconsiderabledegreeofindependenceandperformaleadershiprole.
* Produceconcisetechnicalsystemsdocumentationandknowledgeartefactssupportingoperationalcontinuity.
* Workindependentlywiththeopportunityforreasonableautonomyandaccountabilityfortheachievementofoutcomesoftheirwork.
* Assesstechnicalanddesignpackagesincludingscoping,planning,reviewing,providerecommendationsandcontributetotheimplementationofactions.
* SoundknowledgeofRFSpectrumconcepts,includingmodulationanddigitalsignalsprocessing(distribution,demodulation),includingSatellitecommunications.
