About the Role
This rewarding position involves delivering individualized Orientation and Mobility (O&M) programs, including cane training, route travel, public transport navigation, and orientation strategies.
* Deliver comprehensive assessments and develop tailored mobility plans.
* Train clients in the use of assistive technology, such as GPS systems and electronic mobility devices.
* Work with individuals across diverse environments, from homes and workplaces to public spaces.
About You
To excel in this role, you will have:
* A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Education with a Masters or Diploma in Orientation and Mobility or Sensory Disability.
* Experience in providing O&M services to individuals of all ages.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel across metropolitan and regional areas.
