Job Description:
The project subcontract coordinator will provide essential support to the subcontracts team in utilizing project procurement system tools (SAP, Felix, NPP) and maintaining and tracking the subcontract action register (SCAR) and procurement status report (PSR).
Key Responsibilities:
* Registration and qualification of subcontracts through Felix or NPP.
* Ensuring the utilization of existing master services agreements (MSA) providers for relevant goods and services and issuing expressions of interest (EOIs) for new MSA.
* Assistance with the project subcontracting strategy for assigned subcontracts.
* Support to internal stakeholders with tendering, negotiation, and formation of assigned subcontracts.
* Liaison with assigned package engineers to action relevant engineering-related items in supplier/subcontract progress reports.
* Negotiation of best available price/discount from selected bidders.
* Interface with end users regarding the preparation and issue of technical bid evaluations, and 'approved for purchase' scopes of work and associated technical documents.
* Preparation and issue of request for approval (RFA) workflow and tracking of approval process.
* Issue of purchase orders/subcontract agreements on the project-selected software such as SAP, Felix.
* Monitoring of SCAR & PSR in coordination with the subcontract management and commodity manager and updating with actual dates.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience as a commercial or contracts advisor on engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, with direct experience managing subcontractors and suppliers.
* Knowledge of subcontracting processes, contract management, and procurement principles.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with subcontractors.
* Tertiary qualification in supply chain, engineering, quantity surveying, law, or construction management and economics (CM&E).
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
