Monadelphous are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Officer to join our PNG Operations team on a full-time basis.
This role will be based in the Brisbane Office Monday to Friday, with the occasional requirement for site visits to Papua New Guinea.
Key responsibilities include
* Liaising with a wide range of suppliers and external service providers in relation to hiring, purchasing, invoicing and other procurement / subcontract administration activities
* Expediting supplier lead times, documentation and logistics
* Document control with regards to vendor documentation
* Working closely with the Project Manager and project team both on and off-site regarding procurement
* Raising purchase orders, variations, credit requests and receipting of goods
* Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures across the project
* Organising information into procurement databases and producing reports
* Flexibility to support additional areas, such as project document control
What you will bring
* 2+ years' experience working in a procurement position in the construction or resources sector
* Demonstrable experience using MS Office Suite and operating document control systems
* High attention to detail and accuracy in work produced
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent time management skills and demonstrable experience achieving tight deadlines
* Proven ability to work as a team player, eagerness to learn new systems and work in dynamic environments
* Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
