Key Leadership Position: Statewide Auslan Services
As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for leading the planning, development, management, and delivery of Auslan services in schools. This role requires strategic leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to engage with internal and external stakeholders to build productive partnerships.
Job Description:
* Lead a dynamic team of Teachers of the Deaf, Teacher Aides, and Specialist Support staff in delivering educational services and support to students who use Auslan as their first language
* Develop and implement cohesive services that maximize student outcomes through effective coordination with school, regional, and statewide staff
* Provide expert advice and support to senior executives on policy and strategy relating to Auslan and inclusive education
* Manage human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources of the Auslan service
The ideal candidate will have fluency in using Auslan, a strong understanding of inclusive education policy, and experience working with the Deaf community. They will also possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with members of the Deaf Community.
