About the company/role:
- Well-known food/beverage manufacturing company
- Located in the northern suburbs of Hobart, Tasmania
- Seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Quality team
- 5 weeks casual contract (covering leave in the team)
- Part-time hours (3-4 days a week including weekend work)
Duties, but not limited to :
- Collection of samples
- Chemical and microbiological testing of samples
- Sensory testing of samples
- Calibration of instruments
- Assisting in production issues and internal audits
- Ensuring GMP standards
- General housekeeping
Full training will be provided.
Skills/experience:
- Bachelor of Science (majoring in Food Science, Chemistry or closely related discipline)
- Previous laboratory or dairy experience would be highly advantageous
- Reliable and good work ethic
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace
