As the Practice and Training Officer, you will:
* Develop and facilitate Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training in your respective region with support provided to other regions, where required..
* Apply a continuous improvement approach to TCI training practices and systems and ensure training consistency.
* Support the implementation of systems and practices, including the rollout of Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) and implementation of our new client management system, by providing training to staff and identifying areas of improvement (training provided for the successful applicant).
* Conduct training needs analysis, training plans and initiatives and develop training content and materials in collaboration with Human Resources.
* In conjunction with key stakeholders, develop training content and materials to support staff development and best utilise our Learning Management System (Tribal Habits).
* Provide feedback to Operation teams to support staff in learning and development areas.
* Assist with the continual development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring alignment with NDIS and OOHC Standards, Code of Practice and Legislation.
* Keep up to date with research and practice within the OOHC and Disability sectors.
* Implement an assessment and feedback framework and complete reviews of practice and remediation / improvement as required.
* Assist in the implementation and ongoing development / monitoring of FlowLogic and provide training and practice support to staff in the use of FlowLogic.
* Identify areas of practice improvement and / or risk and propose remediation plans.
About you:
* Tertiary qualification in Human Services.
* Minimum 4 years' experience within OOHC and/or Disability sector.
* TCI Train the Trainer certified (strongly desirable)
* Experience in the development and implementation of policies, processes, and practices.
* Experience in the development, delivery, and evaluation of training.
* Understanding of the legislative and compliance requirements of the NDIS and OOHC systems.
* Ability and commitment to travel across NSW.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Ability to be flexible with work hours to meet reasonable demands of the position.
* Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check, First Aid Certificate and Valid NSW Driver's License.
