King of the Hill, a key Vault Minerals site in WA, seeks a Open Pit Mine Geologist to join the team.

King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. After a significant expansion, KOTH now features a 4.7 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant, providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future. KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
Reporting to the Senior Open Pit Mine Geologist, the Open Pit Mine Geologist role contributes to the achievement of production and development targets across surface mining operations by delivering geological services that meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
The position is offered on a 7:7 FIFO roster from Perth.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
* Maintain compliance with WH&S legislation and site safety protocols.
* Conduct ore block outs and in-pit mapping to optimise grade recovery and minimise dilution.
* Monitor, sample, and log grade control drilling programs to delineate orebody ahead of mining.
* Record and report production data using company systems including OrePro3D.
* Liaise with Geologists and Metallurgists to manage ROM stockpiles and optimise plant feed.
* Update geological plans and sections with survey and drilling data.
* Assist in training Geological Technicians and support general surface operations.

About You
* Tertiary qualification in Geology (BSc. Geology or Applied Geology).
* Minimum 1+ years post-graduate experience in the resources industry.
* Strong understanding of open pit grade control processes and GC drilling.
* Proficient in Leapfrog Geo and/or Vulcan, with experience in Acquire database software.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills and excellent communication abilities.
* Understanding of gold ore-forming processes and data validation practices.
* WA Driver's Licence (manual C Class).
