The Team:
* The Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is the tertiary referral centre for Tasmania, we have around 2000 births each year.

* Looking for a Registered Undergraduate Student of Midwifery (RUSOM) to work across antenatal and postnatal ward including the pregnancy assessment space
The Role:
In accordance with Agency policy and legal requirements, the Registered Undergraduate Student of Midwifery (RUSOM) works within the RUSOM workplace guidelines to provide care as delegated by the Midwife, and within the direction and supervision of the midwife in accordance with the midwifery care plan.
You will need:
* Demonstrated understanding of woman centred care, family centred care and Baby Friendly Health Initiatives (BFHI) principles.
* Ability to work as an effective team member in a healthcare environment, within a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal and numeracy skills.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time, shift worker position, working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for approximately twelve (12) months.
* notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Location: Hobart
Salary: $64,985 to $71,008 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
* An undergraduate Bachelor of Midwifery student who has successfully completed all first year course requirements including clinical practice placements.
* Current Working with Children Registration

* Current First Aid Certificate
