Overview
Join CQ Health as a Roster Support Officer and play a key role in optimising workforce management within a dynamic health environment. The Roster Support Officer will collaborate with Nurse Unit/Line Managers to create efficient rosters, manage time and attendance, and ensure seamless scheduling. Take charge of relief management, unplanned leave, and shift assignments while providing expert advice on rostering systems. This role is until April 2026.
About the role
The Roster Support Officer provides dedicated rostering and workforce management support services to Nurse Unit/Line Managers to achieve the optimal deployment of business unit resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer-focused rostering and workforce management support services (including the planning, creation and maintenance of rosters) to Nurse Unit/Line Managers to ensure optimum workforce deployment.
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with nurse unit/line managers to understand the operating setting and requirements.
- Pro-actively undertake relief management (as required), process unplanned leave, identify relief staff for vacant shifts, process redeployments and assign additional shifts.
- Provide strong support for nurse unit/line managers providing advice in relation to online rostering and workforce management transactions, escalating queries that cannot be resolved locally to Corporate Technology Services.
- Run and review data validation reports throughout each pay cycle undertaking necessary error corrections within role remit and designated timeframes.
About you
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role; however, the following would be considered highly desirable:
- Knowledge and experience with Workbrain and/or myHR.
- Rostering and/or payroll processing experience in a large, complex service delivery environment.
What we offer
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $5,289 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $38.81 - $43.16 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
