IMMIGRATION LAWYER

Arjun & Legal Associates is a well-established and growing law firm based in Glenroy, Victoria, with a strong focus on Australian immigration law. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Immigration Lawyer to join our team on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing immigration advice in accordance with the Migration Act 1958 and Migration Regulations 1994
* Managing end-to-end immigration matters, including but not limited to:
* Subclass 482, 186, 494, 485, 500, 866
* Skilled Migration Visas: Subclass 190, 491, and 191
* Family, temporary, and permanent visa applications
* Preparing and managing DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) applications, including endorsement, nomination, and visa stages
* Preparing and managing Labour Agreement applications, variations, and compliance matters
* Drafting detailed submissions, genuine position reports, labour market testing reports, and supporting evidence
* Liaising with the Department of Home Affairs, DAMA authorities, state/territory nomination bodies, and other relevant stakeholders
* Advising employers and clients on visa conditions, compliance obligations, and permanent residency pathways
* Maintaining accurate client files and records in compliance with legal professional and regulatory requirements
* Using Smokeball (Practice Management Software) for file management, document control, billing, and workflow tracking
* Working collaboratively within the firm and supporting junior staff where required
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with a specialisation in Migration Law
* Admitted legal practitioner in Australia (or eligible for admission)
* Strong working knowledge of Australian immigration law and policy
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple complex matters and meet strict deadlines
* Professional, ethical, and client-focused approach
Desirable
* Previous experience working in a law firm with a migration practice
* Proficiency with ImmiAccount and online lodgement systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
