About the Company

Born in 2021 with a simple cushion and a big dream, Hommey is revolutionising the homeware industry. We believe that creating an aspirational, top-quality brand doesn't have to break the bank. Our mission? To help you craft a personalised home that truly reflects who you are, without compromising on style or your budget.

At Hommey, we're more than just a homeware company - we're a family dedicated to making ethical, sustainable choices. From reducing waste in our production chain to ensuring high-standard working conditions, we're committed to doing better for our planet and our people.

About the Role

As our Merchandise Planner, you'll own the commercial performance of your assigned category across both AU and US markets.

Your mission? Maximise sales, margin, and stock productivity by ensuring the right product is in the right place, in the right market, at the right time.

Working closely with Finance, Design, Production & Operations, you'll own the full merchandise planning lifecycle: from range building and budget development through to in-season trading, replenishment, and post-season analysis.

Responsibilities

Category Planning & Forecasting

* Own end-to-end merchandise planning for your category across AU and US, delivering seasonal sales, margin and stock budgets
* Build and maintain accurate forecasts, buy plans and intake phasing aligned to regional demand
* Assess and manage regional differences in demand, launch timing and product performance
* Deliver seasonal planning milestones on time with budgets and buy plans submitted by agreed deadlines

Inventory Management & Allocation

* Own inventory health for your category across AU and US, maintaining optimal weeks of cover targets by market
* Monitor and act on sell-through rates, stock turn and ageing metrics to minimise aged inventory
* Manage allocations and replenishment across warehouses, regions and channels to ensure stock availability on core lines
* Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on incoming shipments, intake timing and landed cost considerations
* Execute clearance and markdown strategies by market to protect margin
* Proactively identify and escalate inventory risks and opportunities

In-Season Trading & Performance

* Lead weekly category trade analysis across AU and US, identifying key performance drivers and delivering actionable insights
* Monitor performance vs budget, forecast and prior year by market and channel
* Re-forecast as required and make data-led recommendations on rebuys, pull-forwards, pushouts or cancellations
* Evaluate promotional and campaign performance by region and channel
* Own category inputs into weekly trading meetings, clearly articulating risks, opportunities and recommended actions
* Respond to in-season trading opportunities and challenges with agility

Reporting & Analysis

* Prepare and maintain weekly sales, stock and KPI reporting by market and category
* Deliver clear, commercially focused insights on performance, risks and opportunities
* Conduct post-season analysis, translating learnings into actionable recommendations for future planning
* Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across planning tools, reports and systems
* Develop and refine reporting formats that improve visibility and decision-making

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Partner effectively with Design, Production, Operations and Retail teams across AU and US
* Support Production by keeping teams aligned with Critical Path milestones and key supplier deadlines
* Provide Marketing with accurate product availability, launch timing and stock depth insights by region
* Work with Finance to align forecasts, budgets and financial expectations across markets
* Contribute to improvements in merchandise planning processes, tools and documentation as the business scales
