Overview
Talent Mode's Defence Consultancy are seeking Systems Engineer, preferably with a Software Engineering Background to support engineering and configuration management activities across Defence Systems. Working closely with the Engineering Manager and System Managers, you'll help ensure engineering artefacts, certification activities, and configuration controls are developed, maintained, and delivered in line with Dept and SPO requirements.
This role will suit someone who thrives in structured engineering environments, enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and is committed to upholding high standards of technical governance.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain engineering artefacts for Defence Systems, including the SEMP, TCP, and supporting technical documentation.
* Provide engineering and configuration management guidance to the Engineering Manager and System Managers.
* Develop, review, and maintain capability engineering requirements and procedural documentation.
* Act as a key interface between the Engineering Manager and System Managers, contributing to systems engineering, technical certification, and system integration documentation.
* Assist in preparing for Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) Engineering Review Boards (ERBs).
* Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of vendor engineering documentation submitted to the Commonwealth.
* Support engineering teams in engineering audits of support service vendors.
* Attain and exercise Technical or Engineering Authority appropriate to your qualifications, experience, and delegated authority.
* Develop, review, and authorise Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in line with your assigned authority.
