As a Business Analyst, you’ll work closely with business and technology teams to deliver payments and scheme‑driven change initiatives. You’ll support the interpretation of payments scheme requirements and help translate these into clear business and technical outcomes that align with the bank’s platforms and capabilities. This role sits within a payments delivery environment and focuses on card schemes and transaction flows. You’ll contribute to requirements capture, process analysis, and delivery activities across scheme compliance initiatives. This is a full‑time role based in Sydney, working as part of a collaborative team delivering critical change across payments. What do I need? Experience as a Business Analyst within Financial Services, ideally within cards, payments, or transaction‑based environments. Exposure to payments schemes such as Mastercard, Visa and/or EFTPOS, including scheme‑driven change or compliance initiatives. Understanding of the card payments ecosystem, including POS/ATM, Acquirer, Scheme, Issuer, and Card and Token Service Providers. Ability to analyse and help interpret scheme or externally driven requirements and support their translation into business and technical requirements. Experience writing clear, structured requirements and Agile user stories, and working across Agile and Waterfall delivery. Familiarity with payments concepts such as authorisation and clearing, and awareness of standards such as EMV, 3DS, ISO8583 / AS2805, or digital wallets (hands‑on experience desirable). Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Product Owners, technology teams, and delivery stakeholders. Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in a fast‑paced delivery environment, with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn. Why join us?
