Senior Business Analyst - 18 Month Contract - Large Government project
We are a Perth based ICT Consultancy who works with multiple Government Departments.
Due to a large on-going project we are looking to hire an experienced Senior BA on an initial 18 Month contract.This program of work is for 2 years + and will involve engaging with multiple stakeholder and various vendors to deliver a large scale IT system implementation project. Ideally we are looking for an experienced BA with WA government industry experience and previous experience working on large systems implementation projects.
Main Responsibilities:
Undertake the investigation, collation, analysis and evaluation of Program and Project issues. policies, practices and/or procedures to identify relevant factors and initiatives and provide recommendations for consideration and further action.
Conduct research and analysis of business and ICT needs and document related operational, functional and technical requirements/ changes.
Actively consult with all relevant stakeholders, subject matter experts and key technical staff across relevant programs, projects and business units and participate in requirement workshops, surveys, interviews, site visits and document reviews.
Carry out assigned project activities in alignment with project schedule and/or as directed.
Assist the Project Manager (PM) in identifying, raising and capturing project risks and issues.
Provide timely and accurate reporting on project milestones, problems and/or solutions to help ensure that performance indicators/milestones are met within resource and budget constraints.
Carry out quality assurance of processes as required.
Experience in technical projects and the ability to articulate the requirements to developers
Strong technical writing skills;
Advanced communication skills – writing and/or developing and owning project documents and contributing to project documents, and additionally good verbal skills, including relationship and negotiation skills - engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in facilitating workshops/meetings
Experience in the project delivery phase.
Experience writing business requirement documents using formal methodologies.
Experience in business process mapping (current and future state).
Demonstrated experience in successfully capturing business requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain string relationships with various stakeholders.
Strong planning and organisational skills, and the ability to drive deliverables to timely completion.
Excellent skills in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and/or Visio software to present concepts in clear diagrammatic, tabular or graphical formats.
Nice to have:
Certification in PRINCE 2 Foundation or equivalent is desirable.
Knowledge of Agile principles.
Certification in business analysis methodologies or demonstrated equivalent also desirable

Pay rate circa c$110per hour (inclusive of super)
