Decision Support Program Officer Job Description
At our department, we are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative professional to join our Biosecurity Operations Division as a Decision Support Program Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the reform of decision support material, guiding policy and operational teams across the division, and working in a small team with flexible work options.
Our Biosecurity Operations Division delivers nationally integrated biosecurity and imported food regulatory activities to ensure goods, conveyances, and travelers meet Australia's import requirements. The division also partners with industry to improve the delivery of regulatory functions.
The Decision Support Material team is responsible for managing biosecurity information in the Instructional Material Library and ensuring that information and knowledge flows through the Biosecurity Operations Division. The team helps biosecurity staff do their jobs effectively by acting as librarians and editors for policies, guidelines, and procedures.
The DSM team coordinates the reform of decision support material in the Biosecurity Operations Division. They build and develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, establish clear work plans, and respond flexibly to a changing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinating the decision support material working group.
* Coordinating and reporting on the performance of decision support reform activities.
* Supporting teams drafting decision support material and connecting them to other resources where needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Australian citizenship.
* Baseline Vetting security clearance.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
