The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of key financial functions and support strategic decision-making across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management
Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
Manage tax compliance, BAS, FBT, and other statutory reporting requirements
Support project costing and provide financial analysis for operational and capital expenditure
Collaborate with department heads to improve cost control and operational efficiency
Maintain and improve internal controls and financial systems
Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax agents
About You
CPA qualified (or working towards)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior accounting role
Prior experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly regarded
Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and job/project costing
Proficient in accounting software (e.g. MYOB or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
