Opportunity
As part of our growth, we are seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time role. You will work across a range of Structural Engineering and Waste Management projects, including industrial buildings, infrastructure, building assessments, and structural investigations.
Responsibilities
* Design a variety of structures across sectors including Industrial, Mining, Waste Management (recycling centres, community drop off facilities, waste transfer station).
* Conduct site inspections during construction to check for construction compliance.
* Perform structural inspections and report on existing structures.
* Maintain strong relationships and effective communication with clients.
* Occasional regional and interstate travel for structural inspections and investigations.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualified in Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering with Structural specialisation.
* Knowledgeable in structural engineering. The ideal candidate would be aiming to apply for CPEng in Structural Engineering in the next few years, or be CPEng already.
* Able to independently design steel and concrete structures.
* Able to independently manage small projects, and work on larger projects as part of a team.
* Familiar with relevant Australian Standards including AS 1170, AS 4100, and AS 3600.
* Proficient in steel and concrete design.
* Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong report writing skills and excellent communication skills.
* Eligible for membership at Engineers Australia (MIEAust or GradIEAust).
* Full Australian working rights.
